Revitalization

WHAT:            Breakfast briefing led by the Bronx River Alliance on current and planned efforts to bring new recreational and educational opportunities to the Bronx River corridor, restore sensitive shoreline ecosystems, and create a greenway for pedestrians and cyclists along the length of the river

This briefing seeks to reach out to small businesses, non-profits, and other groups not currently involved in efforts to restore the river. The goal is to inform them about the changes the river and its shoreline are undergoing and to begin to engage them in this important work.  Since 1999, Congressman Serrano has secured nearly $ 25 million in federal funds for the restoration of the river.
